A seed round worth $2.5 million is coming the way of Zytlyn after securing funding from a string of finance houses and angel investors.

The Switzerland-based company, which specializes in data analytics to the travel sector, has secured its debut round from Plug & Play Ventures, Century Oak and the Geneva Foundation for Technological Innovation.

Also participating are Elyes Mrad (Certares), Julia Sattel (a former president at Amadeus) and Niels Gron (founder of AquaFold).

The Zytlyn platform was created earlier this year in a bid to automate workflows for airlines, travel agencies, airports and hotels, as well as providing predictive tools for demand, pricing, revenue and sales.

Co-founder and CEO, Houman Goudarzi, says: “By capturing every possible signal, using machine learning to find patterns and correlations in real-time, we provide airlines, travel agencies, airports and hotels, with rich predictive insights about granular consumer, competitor and market behaviors.”

Goudarzi was most recently global head of business intelligence and new product development at IATA, leaving in November last year.
