Israel / Europe: Israeli software-as-a-service [SaaS] startup Joyned has announced a commercial partnership with vacation rental company OYO Vacation Homes to roll out its group booking software across the latter’s brands in Europe.
As a result of the partnership, OYO’s current proposition will be enhanced by Joyned’s Friends & Family [F&F] booking functionality.
Formerly known as Gamitee before its rebranding last October, Joyned Booking enables online users to invite their friends to an online travel agency or hotelier’s website, and work together in a private, on-site platform to discuss and book their group trip. By keeping Friends and Family [F&F] travellers on their site and making it easy for them to book a trip, accommodation and travel, sites using Joyned are said to achieve a higher average conversion rate and a ten per cent increase in overall website revenue.
Joyned co-founder and CEO, Jonathan Abraham, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with OYO Vacation Homes to bring seamless group booking to thousands of travellers across the globe. With OYO’s mission so closely aligned with our own, this partnership felt like a natural evolution for both parties.
“Together we’ll continue to strive to make it easier for homes and travel sites to increase revenue, provide a superior user experience and build customer trust and loyalty,” he added.
In addition to enhancing the group booking experience, Joyned will also provide data and insights to OYO Vacation Homes, including F&F travel price perception, sentiment analysis, and mapping of the group booking customer buying journey.
Vivek Khetan, VP growth and marketing at OYO Vacation Homes, said: “In OYO Vacation Homes, we have built a solid value proposition by ensuring that our guests enjoy easy booking and reliable, hassle-free holidays. We achieve this by applying innovative tech to our homes across the globe.
“We strongly believe that partnerships like this with Joyned can help us to better understand the needs and expectations of our guests and to continue offering the best service to our homeowners,” added Khetan.
The partnership has gone live so far in Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark, and further rollout plans across the rest of Europe are in place for early 2023.
OYO Vacation Homes, which owns brands such as Belvilla, DanCenter, Danland and Traum-Ferienwohnungen, is part of Indian hospitality chain OYO Hotels & Homes, and it acquired Croatian vacation rental franchise agency Direct Booker for $5.5 million in May.
